we take our name from alexander the III,
son of philip, whom we consider one of history's truly great persons, not for the usual
reasons, but because he was the Ur-Entrepreneur:
- he was a brilliant strategist and
tactician
- he was a master of thorough planning and flawless, speedy implementation
- he was a bold improviser and extremely adept in seizing the moment
- he had a well-rounded education by the best teachers, including Aristotle
- won his most important battles vastly outnumbered by his opponents
- he always used his limited resources creatively to great effects
- he was a constant innovator
- had his own way of redefining and solving problems
- he was a great leader
- he cared deeply for his troops and lived in the same conditions with them
- conquered the known world by his early thirties, spreading greek culture, a truly
creative and cosmopolitan civilization, bridging West and East and accelerating change
we do not subscribe to the notion of
business as war, but we do see a certain attitude as indispensable for modern business,
including ours:
global outlook, dynamic and proactive
posture for growth, leadership and entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, achieving
ambitious goals with limited resources, education and awareness, excellence in products
and services
